The woman is his wife, Rosina (Gessele) Sauer. The girls are from left, Lydia, Martha Margaret (on David's lap), Amelia (Emma) and Magdalena (my mother) and in front Joehannah. Rosina is not my grandmother but was my Great Aunt. David was married to Johanna Gessele who died in 1909; she was my grandmother. Amelia and Magdalena were children of David and Johanna. |
