  	apparently buried in another family plot in the Baxter [Springs?] Cemetery- no connection as per Don Allen, just friends, but he can't recall the name at this time.
  Notes	Alonzo's/Lon/Leon's first wife died of T.B. Their two young daughters came into the marriage of Alonzo and Lillie, but they subsequently died of T.B. also. In the 1900 US Census of Webster, Woodward Co., OK, just Elonzo [sic], Lillie M, Effie L., Mabel, Jennie [sic], Walter and Maree [sic] are listed so they must already have passed away by enumeration day (25th and 26th of June, 1900). As per notation on Don Allen's info: "Alonzo died at age 64 at his home, two miles north of Crestline, KS. He had been a resident of Cherokee County for 30 years. He was born in Cedar Co. MO. Burial was at the Baxter Cemetery. Alonzo was a Texas Ranger around 1875, and he was fluent in Spanish and a sharpshooter with a six gun. He did not come to Canada. John Allen was about 65 in 1936 in Saskatoon, SK, Canada. May have been a brother to Alonzo. Aunt Anna Nenhause ?? picture of her in chair, was from Nashville, IL." Declaration of marriage signed Aug 12, 1889 by Lon Allen, aged 35 and Lillie Crane, aged 26. Record of certificate of marriage - on August 15, 1889, married by T. H. Williams.

  		Declaration, Marriage License and Record of Certificate of Marriage for Alonzo Allen and Lilly May Crane Declaration of marriage signed Aug 12, 1889 by Lon Allen, aged 35 and Lillie Crane, aged 26. Record of certificate of marriage - on August 15, 1889, married by T. H. Williams.
  		Copy of Alonzo's death certificate, signed by wife Lilly. His burial is a mystery. He is buried in the Baxter Springs Cemetery as per his death certificate, but the Alonzo H. Allen found in Section M of the cemetery is born in 1857, and is buried with Carrie E. (1861-1917) and Alfred H. (1883-1939). This same Alonzo H. is also found in the 1930 Spring Valley, Cherokee Co. Kansas Census with daughters Mable C. McMinn and Lucile E. Allen. Clearly not our Alonzo. So where is our Alonzo to be found in the Baxter Springs Cemetery??
