Anna sewing. Anna's love of sewing has been passed down through the generations. This treadle sewing machine is still in the family, and was in use up until Idella's death.
The Arnesen Homestead at Stoney Lake, SK. The house was built on two half sections and then joined once the land claims were proved. As per grand daughter Rae “The East house was built running North and South about 8-10 ft East of the border line. West house was built running East-West. When the time came Grandpa, with the help of skids and a couple teams of horses, pulled the West house up to the East house aligning the two doors. The house had been built with both doors opening to the inside and exactly the same size.
