Tribute to Idella Wildman
by Helen Pylpow
A long time resident of the Midnight Lake District Mrs. Idella Wildman, passed away Saturday, October 19 in the University Hospital in Saskatoon at the age of 75 years. Idella Arensen was born on March 27, 1910 in the Fairholme district. She moved with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Martin Arnesen and family to the South Branch district where she attended school. She was also a student at the Patch Grove school. At the age of 10, she and her husband of 14 years later, attended the same school. She helped her parents with family duties and also helped at the Gunderson home.

In 1934 she married Clement Wildman and they took up residence on their farm at Midnight Lake where she remained until her passing. Two sons were born to the Wildmans, Lee who now resides in Lloydminster, and Garth who resides in Calgary.

Mrs. Wildman will be long remembered by her family, friends and neighbours for her hospitality, love of gardening and her passion for quilt making. She was a thoughtful generous person always willing to share with others and lend a helping hand. Appreciation of these qualities was shown in the visits and acts of kindness displayed by her friends during her lengthy illness and gestures for which her family will be every grateful.

In recent years here activities slowed somewhat because of a broken arm, but even with the use of only her left hand she still managed to carry on with her quilting and many of her household chores.

Park Funeral Home of Saskatoon was in charge of arrangements. Cremation followed.
